MyNCE (“we,” “our,” or “the app”) is a study application for the National
Counselor Examination (NCE). This Privacy Policy explains what information we
collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
Account information. When you create an account, we collect
your email address, a username you choose, and a password. Passwords are handled
by our authentication provider and are not visible to us.
Study data. We store your in-app activity — quiz answers and
scores, daily question history, completed lessons, and your target exam date — so
your progress is saved and synced across your devices.
Subscription status. If you subscribe to MyNCE Pro, Apple
processes your payment. We do not receive or store your payment card details; we
receive only your subscription status from Apple in order to unlock features.
Profile photo (optional). If you add a profile photo, it is
stored locally on your device and is not uploaded to our servers.
How We Use Information
To create and secure your account
To save and sync your study progress across devices
To provide and manage your MyNCE Pro subscription
To respond to support requests
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it
for third-party advertising.
Service Providers
We rely on the following providers to operate the app:
Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore) stores
your account and study data. See Google’s
Privacy and Security information.
Apple processes subscription purchases through the App Store.
These providers process data on our behalf and are subject to their own privacy policies.
Data Retention and Deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can permanently delete your
account and associated data at any time from within the app: open your profile (tap
your avatar on the Home screen) → Delete Account. Deleting your
account removes your account and study data from our systems. Some records may
persist briefly in backups before being overwritten.
Security
We use industry-standard measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and
Google Firebase’s security infrastructure, to protect your information. No method of
transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children’s Privacy
MyNCE is intended for counseling students and professionals and is not directed to
children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Your Choices
Access or update your account information in the app.
Delete your account and data at any time (see above).
Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this
page with an updated effective date.
